ENERGY & EMISSIONS

Increasing energy efficiency and therefore reducing emissions has a positive impact on our air quality. Using smart energy sources and increasing efficiency reduces the impact to the environment.

The City of Indianapolis is committed to improving the air quality of our City. Under the leadership of the Office of Sustainability, the City is looking to reducing the carbon emissions of the City by taking measures which include but are not limited to greening of the city fleet to reduce carbon emissions and increasing energy efficiency of buildings by performing energy audits and retrofits on city owned buildings.

These actions also serve as a cost savings measure for the City and also help reduce our environmental impact.
