With this project I needed to find as many used materials that I could find. I had to then work around my design to make sure everything would fit into the proper proportions.
Gathering the cans was easy. The washing, de-tabbing, smashing, folding, planning and placing took a great deal of time to make sure the pattern worked into my design. Using the color of the cans, I placed them differently on the sides and the back in scattered color patterns. The door has a different pattern using larger cans placed on angles.
The tabs were collected for Ronald McDonald House and the remaining can were recycled.
The other metal scrap that was not used was recycled also.
